RHIB

HDPE RHIB: Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats for Military, Rescue & Patrol
The Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) is the workhorse of modern naval, coast guard, and rescue operations worldwide. PlastBoat’s HDPE RHIB replaces the conventional fiberglass or aluminum rigid hull with a high-density polyethylene hull — delivering all the performance advantages of a RHIB while adding the impact resistance, corrosion immunity, and maintenance-free properties that make HDPE the superior choice for demanding operational environments.
Our HDPE RHIBs serve naval forces, coast guards, special operations units, oil platform standby vessels, and maritime rescue organizations. Delivered from Istanbul, Turkey, with worldwide logistics support, PlastBoat is a trusted RHIB manufacturer for clients across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.
Why Choose PlastBoat's HDPE RHIB?
HDPE vs fiberglass rigid hull
HDPE absorbs impacts that crack or shatter fiberglass hulls. In operational environments where grounding, collision, and debris impact are common, this dramatically reduces repair downtime.
HDPE vs aluminum rigid hull
HDPE wighs less than aluminum for equivalent hull strength and does not corrode in saltwater. Salt crystallization that deteriorates aluminum welds is not a factor with HDPE.
Speed
The weight-optimized HDPE hull gives PlastBoat RHIBs a speed advantage over equivalent-engined competitors.
Tube longevity
We use Hypalon or ORCA tubes — the industry standard for military and professional maritime applications — for maximum service life.
Zero maintenance hull
No painting, no anti-fouling, no crack repairs. HDPE RHIB hulls remain in service longer between maintenance periods.
Frequently Asked Questions
What tube material do you use?
PlastBoat uses Hypalon (chlorosulfonated polyethylene) as standard, with ORCA polyurethane tubes available as a premium option. Both materials are used in military and professional maritime applications for their superior resistance to UV, oil, and abrasion.
Can your RHIBs be davit-launched from larger vessels?
Yes. PlastBoat RHIBs can be configured with davit launching systems and are widely used as ship’s boats aboard patrol vessels, offshore supply ships, and naval vessels.
Do you supply RHIBs to military clients?
Yes. We have supplied HDPE RHIBs to naval and special operations clients in Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Croatia, and Bulgaria.
Can RHIBs be equipped with weapon mounts?
Yes. Forward weapon mounts, aft pintle mounts, and console-integrated weapon brackets can be integrated into our tactical RHIB designs.
